Trading Room Negotiations focuses on developing and understanding the negotiation skills that are essential in today's trading room environment. This workshop makes trainees aware of everyday tactics used by trading partners, their own tactics and the effectiveness of each. Participants learn the importance of understanding the type of buyers they are trading with and what methods of approach and negotiation work best with each style. Significant emphasis is placed on the trading room negotiation process and the importance of preparation for negotiations. Using extensive, real-life role plays to simulate current-day situations experienced by buyers, sellers and transportation personnel working for your company, Trading Room Negotiations makes employees aware of their own tactics, everyday tactics used by trading partners and the effectiveness of each. This class also covers the importance of understanding the type of buyers the participants will be trading with and what methods of approach and negotiations work best for each different style. Participants videotape and get one-on-one personal feedback which helps improve their ability to communicate in various types of negotiations. By the end of day one, participants will be able to handle even the most difficult negotiations with confidence and have a high positive impact on its outcome.
