Course Outline

Advanced Negotiations is designed for the experienced negotiator who is ready to learn and practice the sophisticated techniques needed for complex negotiations. We recommend this workshop as an intensive follow-up to any strong skill based fundamental negotiations training program .

In Advanced Negotiations , participants look at negotiations as an integral part of a business plan. Participants adapt the all-purpose strategy learned in Win-Win Negotiations (or equivalent) to complex situations involving negotiating teams, multi-party negotiations, and negotiators of varying skill levels. In particular, the program is focused on the team as an effective negotiating unit. A heavy concentration of the use of case studies and an intensive use of real world situations enhances the participant's ability to immediately apply the skills learned on their current work assignment.

On-Site Training : can be tailored to the needs of client organization and delivered on-site at time and location of client choice.

  Training Objectives :

Participants will learn to:

  • Understand and implement in depth skill based negotiations
  • Reinforce skills fundament skills learned in previous workshop and apply them to more complex negotiations
  • Create a balance of power between negotiating parties to come to a satisfying conclusion
  • Develop a common negotiating language with other parties
  • Form effective negotiating teams
  • Determine the role of negotiations in reaching business objectives
  • Maximize the skill required to conduct both face-to-face and telephone negotiations
