Beyond the Basics is an intermediate-level course specifically designed to help non-financial managers broaden and add to their basic financial and accounting skills.
Beyond the Basics eases into each topic with a review of the basic terms and concepts. You'll gradually build on the knowledge you already have. You'll never get bogged down in technical terminology that only an accountant or financial analyst would understand.
Learn how to:
- Understand key financial and accounting terms such as capitalization, discretionary credit, zero-based budgeting, and break-even point
- Make informed management decisions by analyzing them from a financial point of view
- Examine the performance of your department or product line so you can establish realistic bottom-line goals
Course Objective: Build on existing financial and accounting skills to make informed managerial decisions from a financial perspective.
